Snuggly Babe

Kaya is a week away from her second birthday! She is such a big girl and such a little girl both right now. She is fully potty trained and is constantly bringing her babies to the bathroom to go too.

Times like that, and any time she opens her mouth (you should hear the vocab on her, and syntax too... it's amazing), you'd think that she was nearing 3.

...then there are the really cold Saturday mornings when we all want to go for a walk, and Kaya doesn't want to go in the stroller, because she knows that she'll be cold and she says "Please Mei Tai", how can we say no?

Yes, that's our almost 2 year old in there!

Last night she slept in our bed with us for the first time since she was 2 months old. She's not a great snuggler, so when we've tried to bring her in in the past she's needed to go back to her crib to actually fall sleep. Last night the dry air was getting to her, and she'd been coughing for a while. Finally it was too much for her and she started wailing. I went in with a cup of water, which she gladly accepted, and tried to lay her back down with her blanket and her bunny; she wanted nothing to do with it. I brought her back to our bed and within minutes she was back to sleep and I couldn't take my eyes off of that little snuggly babe. (We all slept until 7:30 this morning.)

This toddler time is so confusing... is she big, is she little? Yes!
